The Conference

Thank you to the hundreds of men and women who joined us at the first-ever African American Men's Health Conference on Saturday, June 21, 2008.  It was an amazing day of education, fellowship and empowerment, and we hope that all who attended walked away committed to improving their health.

Conference panelists speaking about their experiences with cancer, stroke and heart disease. Conference attendees listening to educational presentations.

African American men have higher rates of diagnosis and death from cancer, cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes, and HIV/AIDS. This FREE conference addressed conditions impacting the health of African American men through education, screenings, and networking of community residents. This first-ever event included education/expert speakers, health screenings (if eligible; space limited), exhibits, and breakfast and lunch (free to attendees). Call (800) 787-4337 for more information.
